Ladies and Gentlemen,
In less than twenty five years, the Akant company has become a global distributor of window covers. Thanks to the highest product quality, we’ve been able to reach fifteen domestic markets of EU member states. Moreover, as many as 300,000 of our products are sold on the market every year, and our company’s total area is as much as 10,000 m².
Over the past two years we’ve been focusing primarily on investments facilitating the automatization and digitization of the production process. Thanks to these efforts, all the manufacture-related processes are even more efficient now. For instance, we’ve implemented a minimum efficient scale (MES)-type in-house, intuitive management system which makes it much easier to tailor our products to each client’s specific needs. This solution also allows us to develop the software required by our employees in a swift and smooth manner.
Deploying modern machinery to increase labour efficiency is just as important. For instance, Akant has implemented a 2D mapping scanner for use with roller blind fabrics. Additionally, the scanner was integrated with a CNC table boasting the cutting optimization function. We have also installed an access panel manufacturing robot, and almost completely automated the packaging line.
Thanks to the solutions implemented, our per annum manufacturing capacity has more than doubled (from 300,000 units to 700,000 units). However, we’re not done yet. Once we’ve finished implementing the ERP software and integrated our machinery park through the MES system, Akant will be one step closer to the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
